How is this different from other College Fairs?
At most college fairs, you are meeting with representatives from the admissions departments, who may not know a lot of details about the theatre program. At NCTC College Discovery Day, you are meeting with theatre professors and current theatre majors. They can answer questions about specific majors, performance opportunities, types of shows in their season, quality of the food in the cafeterias and more!
We attended College Discovery Day last November and it was the perfect way for us to let students and families know about our new BFA in Musical Theatre. We heard so many amazing auditions and got to meet and talk with so many students. Now we have 26 musical theatre majors in only our second year, and 41 majors in our department. We are close to full capacity and have increased our faculty to ten! College Discovery Day was a huge part of our success. It’s such a great way for students to get to know about programs all across the state. Thanks Angie, Amanda and everyone at NCTC. We’ll be there every year.” - Kenny Gannon, Theatre Department Coordinator at William Peace University
